Zendaya is taking inspiration from a fellow fashion icon, Prince.
On Tuesday, March 17, the 29-year-old actress attended the afterparty for the Los Angeles premiere of her new film, The Drama, in a white lace two-piece look by Harris Reed that looked very similar to one the late singer wore on his Purple Rain Tour.
Prince embarked on the North American tour after the success of his sixth studio album, 1984's Purple Rain, and the accompanying film of the same name. Zendaya's look features a flirty, sheer lace white top with a ribbon tied at the high collar. She teamed the statement piece with white high-waisted trousers.

Earlier that evening, the actress, who is rumored to have already married her longtime partner, Tom Holland, played into the commentary by wearing a bridal white gown (and what appeared to be a wedding band) for the premiere of The Drama.
According to her longtime stylist and close friend, Law Roach, Zendaya dipped into her own archives for the occasion and donned the silky Vivienne Westwood gown she previously wore to the 2015 Academy Awards.
“Something old,” Roach, 47, wrote over a throwback image of Zendaya from the 2015 Oscars on his Instagram Stories.
On the red carpet at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1, the image architect let it slip that Zendaya and Holland, 29, are allegedly married.

While speaking to Access Hollywood, he said, "The wedding has already happened." He then teased, "You missed it."

When asked by a reporter if it was true, Roach replied, "It's very true!" He then laughed before walking away from the interview.
Zendaya has yet to confirm or deny the statement, and reps for the actress did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment — but she has seemingly enjoyed playing into the rumors.
On Monday, March 16, the Challengers actress playfully discussed the topic during a Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance. “I'm sure you know the internet has gone berserk with stories that you might actually be married to Tom,” the host, 58, said.
“Really? I haven’t seen any of that!” the star jokingly replied.
Next, Zendaya told Kimmel that “many people have been fooled by them,” as they discussed AI-generated "wedding" photos of the couple.
Before their interview ended, Kimmel aired an obviously edited version of the alleged wedding that Zendaya brought with her to “clear the confusion,” adding that this was her "first time sharing it."
Zendaya and Holland maintained for years that they were just friends, but later confirmed their romantic relationship in 2021 after they were spotted kissing. PEOPLE confirmed the couple was engaged in January 2026.
The Drama follows a "happily engaged couple" (Zendaya and Robert Pattinson), whose relationship "is put to the test when an unexpected revelation sends their wedding week off the rails," according to a synopsis.
The Drama is in theaters Friday, April 3, 2026.
