Tom Cruise called Kate Middleton and Prince William “amazing” and “charismatic” after their recent red carpet reunion at the London premiere of his new movie Digger on Tuesday, Sept. 22
The actor, 64, made the comments during an appearance on the Friday, Sept. 25 episode of The Graham Norton Show

Tom Cruise is celebrating his red carpet reunion with Kate Middleton and Prince William.
During an appearance on the Friday, Sept. 25 episode of U.K. chat show The Graham Norton Show, Cruise, 64, was asked about the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, attending the world premiere of his new film, Digger, in London on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
“They are amazing — very charismatic. I had such a good time,” Cruise said of the royal couple, per a release obtained by PEOPLE.

Kate and William last walked a movie premiere red carpet together in May 2022, when they joined Cruise for the U.K. premiere of Top Gun: Maverick.
At the time, the trio appeared alongside other members of the cast, including Miles Teller and Jennifer Connelly.
The Prince and Princess were all smiles at Tuesday’s event — held at London’s ODEON Luxe Leicester Square — with Kate making a glamorous entrance in a rich plum Jenny Packham gown, which featured a plunging neckline, ruched detailing at the waist and a sweeping skirt.
Along with the show-stopping dress, Kate wore the Queen Mother’s Amethyst Sautoir Necklace, a rarely seen piece featuring pearls, diamonds and amethysts. The jewelry was given by the then Queen Alexandra to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the future Queen Mother, as a wedding gift in 1923.

Kate also wore pearl drop earrings that previously belonged to William’s late mother, Princess Diana.

The couple’s night out on Tuesday came amid a particularly busy period for the royal family. Charles Spencer’s new memoir about his sister, Princess Diana, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, was released that day following a headline-making rollout, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s return to the U.K. has also renewed attention on his relationship with his family.
Neither William nor Harry has publicly commented on their relationship since the latter’s return, and both declined to answer reporters’ questions about Spencer’s book during separate appearances in London this week.
Tuesday’s premiere marked the 73rd Royal Film Performance, held in support of the U.K.’s Film and TV Charity. William and Kate were welcomed by representatives of the organization before walking the red carpet and meeting members of the cast and creative team, including Cruise and director Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
At one point, the organization’s chair, Claire Tavernier, accidentally stepped on the train of the princess’s gown as they stepped off an escalator while making their way into the event, briefly throwing Kate off balance.
Tavernier immediately raised a hand in apology, but Kate appeared unfazed, bursting into laughter as she regained her footing and continued into the premiere.
