The Husband has come to an end with its finale episode airing on August 9. The one-hour-long episode focused on Tae-ju saving Gyeong-ae and Man-hui finally confessing the crimes. Additionally, the mastermind behind everything, Chi-ung, also gets exposed and finally gets arrested.
As for Tae-ju and Se-yun, even though their relationship went through ups and downs because of misunderstandings that led them to divorce, the finale episode shows the two still having a soft corner for each other. The two visit Hayun's memorial and check on each other.

The Husband finale recap: Tae-ju agrees to save Gyeong-ae

At the start of Episode 12, Tae-ju is seen tied while Man-hui and Chi-ung force him to take them to Gyeong-ae. At this point, Man-hui just wanted to save his wife's life, and even though Tae-ju warns him not to trust Chi-ung, he didn't pay much attention to him.
They finally find Gyeong-ae, and soon after, Man-hui attacks Chi-ung, knowing he might not be successful in saving his wife after Myeong-hui's warning. However, Chi-ung is successful in escaping, thanks to Tae-ju.
In the end, Tae-ju decides to operate on Gyeong-ae only on one condition: that Man-hui will have to surrender himself to the police and tell them everything he knows so they can finally catch Chi-ung. And Man-hui agrees to do so.

Tae-ju successfully operates on Gyeong-ae and saves her life. However, getting Man-hui arrested was not so easy, as Man-hui tries to take his own life to escape from everything. But Tae-ju doesn't let that happen and even gets injured in the process.

In the final episode of The Husband, Tae-ju calls Se-yun and asks her to stay with her parents, adding that he is not in danger and is just having weird feelings. However, she overhears her father's conversation, and after learning everything from him, she goes to the hospital only to come face-to-face with Chi-ung, who attacks her.
However, police arrive on time, and Se-yun manages to stab him, after which he gets arrested along with Man-hui. Tae-ju is shocked to learn about Se-yun but manages to save her by performing surgery.
The Husband ending explained: The people behind the crime are finally exposed
The Husband ends on a satisfying note, with the media reporting that Vice Director Choi was identified as the person who planned the crime. But Choi denies the allegations. Investigators also reveal that Man-hui handed the police a written confession and audio recordings about the crime before his arrest.
Although Man-hui denied that his wife was involved, the police believe Kim was also involved in the kidnapping and false imprisonment. On the other hand, Dong-chan decides to turn himself in.
Se-yun learns about Tae-ju's real intentions when the police show her the video of his conversation with Man-hui, where Tae-ju says that he didn't want her to live with the consequences of the decisions he made, leading to the divorce. Tae-ju says Se-yun will never be happy with him, which makes her cry as she sees the recording.
Tae-ju starts a neurosurgery clinic. But he can't operate because of his injured arm. Towards the end of the episode, viewers see Tae-ju visiting Hayun's memorial on her birthday and meeting Se-yun. He asks to walk with her, and Se-yun agrees, showing the two might have parted ways, but their love for their daughter keeps the two connected.
