The lights were so bright at Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, but they didn't blind Taylor Swift fans from clocking the singer's close run-in with Scooter Braun.
Swift and Braun both attended the June 10 game in Manhattan, which saw the New York Knicks complete a historic comeback to overcome a 29-point deficit and defeat the San Antonio Spurs.
The "I Knew It, I Knew You" singer sat courtside with friends Alana and Este Haim with punny Knicks tees to boot.
Braun and girlfriend Sydney Sweeney sat a few rows back from Swift, social media videos showed.
The pair's near encounter comes years after controversy surrounding the rights to Swift's music catalog. Braun, who once managed careers of artists like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, was at the center of a 2019 sale of the masters of Swift's first six albums.
After rerecording four of the six albums, Swift eventually purchased back her music last year.

While Swift and Braun sat just feet away from each other at the game, it doesn't appear that the two interacted.
After the game, Braun shared a series of photos celebrating the win on Instagram, writing, "No words. Thank you. I love these Knicks!!!! Real ones knows what this means to us. One more!"

On social media, some Swifties called the seating arrangement – Braun sitting behind Swift – "poetic."
The 36-year-old did, however, have another interaction after the game that surprised some fans.
In a social media video, Swift hugs Kylie Jenner, who attended the game with Knicks superfan boyfriend Timothee Chalamet. Jenner is seen mouthing to Swift that the game was "so crazy" in the pair's brief encounter.

The embrace drew attention because of Jenner's sister Kim Kardashian's reported long-standing feud with Swift. Kardashian was notably previously married to Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, who has publicly sparred with the "Life of a Showgirl" singer.
Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun's dispute explained
In 2019, Braun's company Ithaca Holdings purchased Big Machine Records, which owned the rights to Swift's first six albums.
Afterwards, Swift wrote in social media posts that the sale to Braun was her "worst case scenario," alleging he had perpetrated "incessant, manipulative bullying" towards her. She also cited her past spats with two of his clients at the time, Justin Bieber and Kanye West.
Swift also said at the time that she "wasn't given an opportunity to buy" the original recordings of her first six albums.
The sale led Swift to begin rerecording her back catalog, enabling her to own the masters and licensing of the songs. She went on to release a "Taylor's Version" of "Fearless," "Red," "Speak Now" and "1989." Her current label, Republic Records has released all of her albums since "Lover" in 2019.
In 2020, Braun sold the masters to Shamrock Capital. Swift announced she had bought her music back from the investment firm in May 2025.
"The best things that have ever been mine … finally actually are," Swift wrote in an emotional announcement at the time.
Braun spoke out in support of Swift after she bought her music back, saying on a podcast that "everybody in the end won."
