Actress and comedian Sheryl Underwood is bringing her comedic talents to "The View" this week.

Underwood, who is no stranger to the daytime talk scene, is the latest guest tapped to keep cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin's seat warm while she's out on maternity leave.

Underwood previously served as a host on CBS's "The Talk" from 2011 until its end in 2024. Other guest cohosts to appear on "The View" during Griffin's sabbatical include reality star Savannah Chrisley and conservative commentator Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

"Joining us at the table this week, as a guest cohost, is lifelong Republican and comedian on a pit stop from her 'I Need A Job' comedy tour, is the fabulous Sheryl Underwood," Whoopi Goldberg said during the March 9 show.

ABC has not yet announced when Griffin will return to "The View." During Underwood's time at the table, the show will feature a lineup of guests, including cast members from Hulu's "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives."

Underwood's stint concludes Friday, March 13, after four days of guest cohosting. Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis and author James Patterson joined Underwood and the other hosts on the show earlier in the week.

Wednesday, March 11: "Getting Naked" author Valerie Bertinelli and "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" stars Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews and Mayci Neeley

Thursday, March 12: Broadway star Nathan Lane and "Optimist" actor Stephen Lang

Friday, March 13: Actors Minnie Driver and Chris O'Donnell

How to watch 'The View'

"The View" airs on ABC at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT on weekdays and streams on Hulu.

Who else will be guest co-hosting 'The View'?

Other guest cohosts include former MSNBC and NBC News host Abby Huntsman, conservative commentator Amanda Carpenter and comedian Whitney Cummings. The dates for each guest co-host have not yet been announced.

Huntsman, the daughter of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., was on the show's panel for two years until leaving in 2020. She later said she felt pressured to be controversial on the show, which led her to exit.

Carpenter previously appeared as a guest on "The View" in 2021, while Cummings has been on the show several times over the years.
