If all you wanna do is have some fun, go to a Sheryl Crow concert. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who has cracked the Billboard Hot 100 a whopping 19 times across a three-decade career, surprised adoring fans on Thursday night when she performed a surprise concert aboard Princess Cruises’ newest ship.

The “Every Day Is a Winding Road” songstress took to the stage on the lido deck of the Star Princess before it sets sail on its inaugural Caribbean voyage on Nov. 7, performing for almost an hour with the boundless energy and effortless charm fans know and love.

Before launching into a murderers’ row of her hit songs, Crow teased the crowd that it would be “gnarly” if something happened to the stage she was performing on, as it was built over a swimming pool. The stage held, but the jokes continued, with the nine-time Grammy winner quipping, “this is the portion of the show where most people go skinny dipping,” before diving into a sultry rendition of “Strong Enough.”

Crow captivated the crowd’s attention throughout the set, but after her performance of Cat Stevens’ “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” she held them in the palm of her hand, prompting emotional sing-alongs from partygoers clad in sequins and festive formal wear.

The energy continued with a rousing version of “All I Wanna Do,” an electric performance of “Happy,” and by the time Crow closed out the set with “Soak Up the Sun,” attendees could be heard lamenting that the outstanding performance wasn’t long enough.

Crow’s crystalline voice was on full display, but her stage presence, coupled with her clear love for her craft and the musicians who joined her onstage, were the true stars of the night.
