Music composer Lucian Piane has passed away. Also known as RevoLucian, the 46-year-old was known for his work on multiple seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race. According to medical reports, Piane died on the street after meeting with an accident on October 12, 2026.

A report from Deadline confirms details of Piane’s death obtained via the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office records. Piane was reportedly struck by a car in Glendale, CA, and subsequently died from his injuries. While his body was reported to be “ready for release,” the case is staying open, according to TMZ.

Piane’s death comes after multiple run-ins with the Glendale police for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance. The composer was taken into custody on October 10 and was detained by the police the following day for allegedly assaulting an officer. Piane was reportedly issued citations for both incidents. He was scheduled to appear in court on October 12, the day of his accident.

Piane graduated from New York University in 2003 and began building his career in the music and entertainment industry in the years that followed. His earliest work includes collaboration with filmmaker Marc Shaiman on movies such as Team America, Rumor Has It, Hairspray, and more. For his work on Hairspray, he received his first RIAA Platinum Album Award along with a Grammy nomination.

Following that, Piane started working as a producer and composer on RuPaul’s Drag Race. During the course of his work with RuPaul, he delivered musical hits such as “The Baddest Bitches in Herstory”, “Shade: The Rusical,” and more. Piane also produced RuPaul’s last three albums, Champion, Glamazon, and Born Naked.

Under the pseudonym RevoLucian, Piane found viral success by remixing celebrity outbursts into satirical dance tracks. One of the more well-known RevoLucian remixes was “Bale Out,” a techno remix featuring audio clips of Christian Bale on the set of Terminator Salvation. The remix was praised by both Bale and McG, the film’s director.

ComingSoon sends condolences to Piane’s friends and family at this time.
