Actor Robert Wagner, who is known for roles in the Austin Powers franchise and other projects like The Towering Inferno, shared a rare photo of himself and the late Natalie Wood on their first wedding day in 1957.

On his personal Instagram account, Wagner shared the sweet photo on Dec. 28, writing in the caption, "Remembering this special day 68 years ago, when Natalie and I said 'I do.' Happy Anniversary, Nat. More than love!"

In the photo, a young Wagner planted a soft kiss on Wood's forehead. The West Side Story actress looked stunning in a chic wedding dress with a lace shawl of sorts, with a hood.

The couple was first married from 1957 to 1962 before they got divorced. After a decade, they got married again in 1972 and were together until Wood's death in 1981. If they had stayed together in their first marriage, this would've been the couple's 68th anniversary.

Fans had mixed emotions as they reacted to the photo, with many praising the couple's relationship as they mourned the actress' death.

"A great love is never forgotten, she is always with you and your family.❤️❤️," said one such fan, as another wrote, "Beautiful photo and a very special memory."

A different fan celebrated Wagner and Wood as they commented, "Such a beautiful couple, definitely more than love."

Others chimed in to say, "She was definitely one of a kind! We all miss her so much," and "Thank you for sharing your beautiful memory. Have a safe and Blessed New Year," while some spotlighted the gorgeous wedding dress.

Between Wood and Wagner's two marriages, Wagner tied the knot with actress Marion Marshall, and they were together from 1963 to 1971, welcoming a daughter named Katie.

Wood also got married to her second husband, Richard Gregson, between her two marriages to Wagner. They were married from 1969 to 1972, and they had a daughter named Natasha.

Wagner remarried Wood in 1972, and the Hollywood couple also welcomed a daughter together, Courtney, in 1974. After Wood died, Wagner continued to raise Katie, Natasha, and Courtney together.

In 2016, Wagner spoke with People about the death of Wood, saying, "You just take it moment by moment and hope that it gets better and more light comes into her life. As an adult and as a man, I could not climb into her head. All you can do is truly love and care for them.”
