Whether it's blood-sucking vampires, crime-fighting superheroes or intrepid space warriors, Robert Pattinson is just here for the good vibes.
While promoting his latest film, the Jennifer Lawrence-starring psychological drama "Die My Love," the award-winning actor confirmed his involvement in the upcoming "Dune: Part Three," the second sequel in Denis Villeneuve's epic space opera franchise.
During an interview with IndieWire, published Monday, Nov. 3, Pattinson reflected on his struggles with anxiety as an actor, including how it affects his ability to memorize dialogue. "The Batman" star, who said his condition has steadily improved with his recent movies, said "Dune: Part Three" offered a pleasant respite.
"It's actually really nice," Pattinson, 39, told the outlet. "When I was doing 'Dune,' it was so hot in the desert that I just couldn't question anything."

Based on the classic science fiction series by Frank Herbert, the "Dune" franchise follows Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) as he and his family, the House of Atreides, relocate from the planet Caladan to the desert planet of Arrakis to oversee the mining of Spice, a precious space resource.
"It was so relaxing, like my brain actually wasn't operating. I did not have a single functioning brain cell," Pattinson added. "And I was just listening to Denis: 'Whatever you want!'"
The first "Dune" film, released in 2021, starred Chalamet alongside a star-studded cast that included Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa. The movie grossed $402.1 million worldwide and snagged six Academy Awards, including best achievement in cinematography.
"Dune: Part Two" added Oscar darlings Austin Butler and Florence Pugh to the mix for its March 2024 release. The film blasted off at the box office, exceeding its predecessor with a global haul of $714.8 million.

Pattinson is set to play Scytale in "Dune: Part Three," according to the film's IMDb page. In his IndieWire interview, Pattinson described the character as a "villain role."
The much-anticipated sequel will also feature the return of franchise stars Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Jason Momoa.
When does 'Dune: Part Three' come out?
"Dune: Part Three," which is reportedly still in production, is set to be released on Dec. 18, 2026.
