When it comes to women in her own life that have given her that nod of recognition, Hall was humbled to have plenty of names to share.

"I have to say, obviously, my mom, But they're just generations before me of women who I've loved working with — Loretta Devine. Vanessa Bell Calloway, so many women. I would say in those moments when it's like, 'I see you,' I think that we, whatever generation we're in, that we continue to uplift and support because that is what keeps us going in moments that may be confusing or challenging," she says.

"Especially right now, there are a lot of people navigating many things, but those exciting firsts in our life, it's important to celebrate those milestones and let people know we see it. We celebrate it, we support it."

The opportunity to work with her young costars came at the perfect time to help one of Hall's friends find the perfect car for her own daughter.

"The commercial was fun. It's bright, it's fun, but I don't know. That's what I felt like when I actually saw the car. And one of my friends, her daughter is in her second year of college, and she's like, 'That's perfect for her,' " she shares.

"I think that it was a perfect combination of what feels real and then also what feels fun."
