Prince William is reportedly preparing to take decisive action when it comes to his disgraced uncle, Prince Andrew.

According to a royal biographer Andrew Lownie, the Prince of Wales wants lingering controversies dealt with sooner rather than later. The author, who wrote Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, alleges that the Prince is increasingly aware of how precarious Andrew’s position within the royal family has become—and that the clock is ticking.

“He’s worried about what’s going to happen,” Lownie told Page Six in an article shared on Saturday, December 27. “He’s going to be no longer protected. William is going to deal with him.”

According to Lownie, the urgency is tied to King Charles III’s ongoing health battle. The author claims William “wants to deal” with his uncle before the monarch’s death, adding, “He wants the stables cleaned… the window dressing is that Andrew will leave by the spring, and he’s a good boy, and he’s done what he’s been told.”

Lownie says Andrew, 65, is rarely “a good boy” and predicts he will “go kicking and screaming,” demanding major concessions, including a “pretty big house, extensive staff, a gardener, a driver, a housekeeper [and] a cook.”

Earlier this year, Andrew—once considered Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite son—was stripped of his remaining royal titles and forced out of Royal Lodge. He now goes by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, while his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also lost her Duchess of York title.

Andrew’s fall from grace stems largely from his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Virginia Giuffre alleged she was forced to have sex with Andrew when she was 17—a claim he denied before reaching a multimillion-dollar settlement in 2022. Giuffre died by suicide in April at age 41.

Lownie also points to damaging revelations from the Epstein files, including a 2021 email in which Andrew allegedly asked Ghislaine Maxwell if she had “found me some new inappropriate friends.”

The biographer claims more allegations continue to surface. “I would say almost every day, two or three people come to me with stories of encounters with [Andrew],” Lownie said, describing what he called “an extraordinary tsunami of stuff.”

A brief but tense interaction between William and Andrew recently resurfaced online, reigniting discussion about the family’s fracture. The clip, filmed in September at the funeral of the Duchess of Kent, shows Andrew appearing to initiate conversation with his nephew—and being met with silence. English journalist Chris Shipshared the footage on X.
