Authorities have released new images of an armed individual amid the search for Savannah Guthrie's mom Nancy.
FBI Director Kash Patel released surveillance photos Tuesday afternoon on X, over a week after Nancy Guthrie was first reported missing.
The photos show an "armed" person tampering with Nancy Guthrie's front door camera the morning of Sunday, Feb. 1. The new images come from video that was "recovered from residual data located in backend systems," according to the FBI director.
"Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie's home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices," Patel wrote. "Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance."

Authorities have not identified the individual, who is masked in the photos. Patel also shared videos showing the person appearing to tamper with the camera at the door.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was seemingly abducted from her home outside Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of Feb. 1. The mother of three was first discovered missing when a fellow churchgoer missed her at morning services. The NBC anchor and her siblings have since issued emotional pleas for her return, offering to pay after unverified ransom notes were sent to several media organizations.
