Family members contacted the police after they went to Urker’s home that evening, responding to a “welfare concern” after Urker didn’t show up to work that day. They said he was at church on Wednesday, Sept. 30 around 8:45 p.m. and “made comments of being depressed and upset.”
Upon the deputies’ arrival, they were informed that Urker was already dead. “Deputies entered the residence through the front door and was able to see Mr. Urker from the living room area lying on his back in the bed,” the report stated.

The 911 call log, also obtained by **, revealed that the responding officers said that the family member who requested the wellness call for Urker claimed that he was in a “dark place” and “made threats” to die by suicide and “does own a gun.”
They added that the caller alleged Urker was “drinking last night,” and that the family who stopped by his home tried to enter his residence for over an hour.

Blanchard spoke to PEOPLE after the news of Urker’s death broke, claiming that she thought Urker died of an overdose. “I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” Blanchard said, alleging that her partner “was not in a good state of mind lately,” and that she “screamed until my throat burns” over Urker’s death.
Blanchard met Urker in 2018 while she was in prison for conspiring to kill her mother in 2015. They were briefly engaged and welcomed daughter Aurora in December 2024.
