Mick Jagger is defying his octogenarian status in a new video, showing his dance moves at a club weeks after turning 83.
The musician and Rolling Stones bandmates Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards, released their latest album Foreign Tongues in July.
Weeks before, Jagger spoke to The New York Times about aging.
Mick Jagger is having a better summer than all of us.
The Rolling Stones frontman is once again defying his status as an octogenarian in a new video dancing at the club beneath a disco ball, weeks after he celebrated his 83rd birthday and the British rock band released their latest album, Foreign Tongues.
“Enjoying the summer, hope you are too,” he captioned the Instagram video, which featured Jagger shaking his hips to the Stones’ “Mr. Charm” from their new album.
Fans were impressed by Jagger’s dance moves and energy. “Can you imagine finding yourself in a club and dancing next to @mickjagger,” one person wrote. “Mick has more energy at 83 than i do at 30,” another chimed in.
“Life’s too short for just making money... enjoy your summer Mick!” someone else added.
Weeks before he showed off his moves, the “Paint It Black” singer opened up about aging. “There’s nothing good about it,” he told The New York Times during The Interview podcast.
“You don’t get wisdom. You forget everything. Forgot all my wisdom,” Jagger said. “I might have had a couple of pearls, but I think I’ve probably forgotten what they are. So, no, it’s not particularly pleasant.”

He also spoke about the physical toll getting older has had on his body. “You can’t do things as quickly as you want to and all that sort of thing. And, physically, you can’t do things that you would like to do. You have to be more careful. You can still do them, but you have to be a bit more careful when you do them.”

The four-time Grammy winner quipped that he wouldn’t be great at “playing goalie on the football team,” adding, “I’m not really very good at it.”
Whether Jagger and bandmates Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood will tour for Foreign Tongues remains to be seen.
“I’m not ruling it out. No, I’d love to do everything. I’d love to do shows, and I’d love to tour and all that. I mean, I think that, you know, Keith said he would be wanting to tour, but he wanted to do more in one place and that sort of thing,” Jagger told SiriusXM’s Classic Vinyl in July, referring to a residency as opposed to being on the road.

“I don’t know what’s going to really happen,” he continued. “I mean, I understand, but you know, I’d like to do shows however we do it. I like to do shows.”
