When Martha Stewart drops a post, people stop scrolling, and her latest trip down memory lane has fans obsessed. The 84-year-old lifestyle legend revisited her beloved Turkey Hill farmstead in Connecticut, the place where her empire began. From 1971 to 2007, Turkey Hill was Stewart’s home and the unofficial blueprint for the Martha Stewart brand. The home was filled with recipes, renovations and the unmistakable charm that turned a farmhouse into an American institution.

In a new set of photos shared via Instagram on Saturday, November 8, Stewart shared several rare photos from her years at the property, which she originally purchased for just $46,750. The first image shows a young Stewart smiling in her cozy country kitchen, surrounded by roasted chickens, baskets of produce and an enormous display of copper pots hanging from the ceiling.
“Turkey Hill was a dream place for my family and me for many years,” she wrote in her caption. "It taught us, it nurtured us, it fed us, and it occupied us in so many wonderful and instructive ways. I would not be who I am today without the vast knowledge I gained there, on that small bit of paradise."

Other shots captured the home’s white exterior, its lush gardens in full bloom, and glimpses inside the house, including her sun-drenched dining room to the polished hallway with its iconic checkerboard floors.
The comments section was flooded with comments from fans and celebrities alike.
“What a beautiful and incredible Home you created,” designer Zac Posen wrote. “I felt so fortunate to be able to visit it with Kevin in full glory of the gardens, a day when the irises and peonies were still in bloom together. Quite spectacular what you built, a New England ‘Petit Trianon.’”
Another fan added, “Martha has been our inspiration since she first put out her books Entertaining and Christmas. They were like my Bible for homemaking for many years”
Stewart has spoken extensively about her Turkey Hill home in the past and even described it as her “first laboratory” where she tested out new recipes. She also said on her website that the first thing she and her now-ex-husband did when they bought the property was to plant several fruit trees for an orchard.
The queen of hosting may have started with one farmhouse kitchen, but she’s still setting the standard for how we entertain in 2025.
