Louis Vuitton Launches New Book With Assouline
Penned by Arthur Dreyfus, From Louis to Vuitton paints a picture of the French maisonās history from the very beginning. āThis book follows in the footsteps of a previous volume published in the 2000s, which told the story of Louis Vuitton before the era of fashion shows,ā says Pierre-Louis Vuitton, a sixth-generation member of the founding family and head of the houseās savoir-faire. This edition builds on that former chapter to include the last 25 years of artistic direction, structured around 54 key words as a nod to the brandās founding in 1854. The project also serves to preserve the historic methods of savoir-faire. Adds Vuitton, āI am convinced that it is also by telling its story that we will keep it alive for a long time to come.ā
