Viewers of Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show were left stunned after Kim Kardashian made a "wild" admission about OJ Simpson.

The Kardashians star, 45, revealed during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, October 15, that as a teenager, she "spied" on the late football player while he was on trial. Simpson was charged with the June 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, who were both stabbed to death outside her home in Los Angeles.

This comes after Megyn Kelly slammed Kanye and Kim's parenting after North West's new music video.

In October 1995, a Los Angeles jury acquitted Simpson of the criminal charges; however, the victims' families subsequently filed a civil lawsuit. In 1997, a civil jury found Simpson liable for the wrongful deaths, ordering him to pay $33.5 million in damages.

Kim's father, Robert Kardashian, was a close friend of Simpson's and served as part of the defense team that represented him throughout the trial, reports the Mirror US.

During her conversation with comedian and TV host Jimmy, 58, Kim disclosed that she witnessed the case's proceedings first-hand, both on television and in the courtroom.

She confessed that while Simpson was staying at her father's home during the trial, sleeping in her sister Khloe Kardashian's bedroom, she once rummaged through the football star's bag, driven by her deep investment in the case and her desire to conduct her own investigation.

"I just was so into it, and I just saw everything from behind the scenes," Kim told Jimmy. "I remember, after it had all happened, OJ had come to stay with my dad at the house. He had this Louis Vuitton luggage and brought it into the house."

"And I'm like seeing what's going on the news, but I see it in real life at my house, so I'm like, 'I'm gonna go play investigator, and I want to go through his luggage and see if I can find anything!'".

Kim confessed that after rummaging through the bags, zipping them back up and returning them to her sister's room, panic set in when she headed downstairs and caught a news bulletin stating investigators were seeking to confiscate Simpson's belongings. The Skims founder told the host, "I'm like, 'Oh my God, my fingerprints are all over it!'".

"And so, it made me realize that people could be involved that aren't involved, and I need to help them," Kim explained, referring to her interest in the law. Jimmy quipped to the reality star, "You could have been in prison right now for tampering with the evidence."

She responded, "Yeah."

Following the official Jimmy Kimmel Live! Instagram account posting Kim's remarks, numerous followers expressed their astonishment. One commented, "This is wild!" Another wrote, "Love that story lol."

A third chimed in, "She's unserious in the best way."

Yet, someone else remarked, "Not funny about the O.J. Luggage."

One viewer questioned, "No one cares if the luggage was LV. Why not just say luggage... oh wait.."

Previously, Kim disclosed that her father maintained a concealed closet crammed with Simpson case materials. She told Vogue in 2019, "On the weekends they used our home as an office, with Johnnie Cochran and Bob Shapiro.

"My dad had a library, and when you pushed on this wall there was this whole hidden closet room, with all of his OJ evidence books. On weekends I would always snoop and look through. I was really nosy about the forensics."
