Joni Lamb's daughter-in-law claims her family wasn't informed about the Daystar Television founder's death.
In a social media exchange on May 7, Suzy, who is married to Joni's son Jonathan, claimed that her family was not told about the television magnate's death. Joni died earlier that day at 65, following health issues that she kept private and were exacerbated by a back injury.
"Thank you, we weren’t informed of anything. We were down the road, but weren’t given a call to say goodbye. We forgive them. Thank you for praying for Jonathan," she wrote, replying to a post about Joni's death. "They knew she was dying yesterday evening and they didn’t call Jonathan to come say goodbye," she added. She did not identify who specifically failed to notify the family.

Suzy wrote on X moments later: "Fear the Lord. It’s truly all I can say with trembling hands. Fear the Lord."
She and Jonathan also shared a joint post on Instagram remembering Joni, in which she wrote, "I have no words right now. One day we will. For now it’s just a broken heart. Thank you for all your prayers, especially for Jonathan & our children. Heaven is our home. Jesus is coming soon."
In an Instagram Stories post shared late Thursday night, Suzy wrote, "I'm angry because the love was real. I wasn't going to say anything, but after the initial shock came anger for all that happened, then just pain and sorrow. But all I rest on, is the love was always real. Forgiveness is real. God is in control."
She followed on Friday morning with a post on X in which she said, "Grief is a crazy road that I really hate. It’s a mix of love, pain, anger, loss & so much more all mixed up in a bag and each time you cry it’s for a different emotion."
