As President Donald Trump kicked off the 16-day Great American State Fair on the National Mall on Wednesday (June 24), Jimmy Fallon spent part of The Tonight Show mocking the event.

In his opening monologue, Fallon noted that the event was originally supposed to begin with the Freedom 250 concert, featuring performances from the likes of Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, and Bret Michaels. However, Trump later canceled the concert after several acts pulled out of the event due to public backlash.

“It’s the first event where B.Y.O.B. means ‘bring your own band,'” Fallon quipped on Wednesday’s show. “Tonight included a military flyover, Lee Greenwood singing ‘God Bless the U.S.A.’ and a speech by Trump. Even Trump’s biggest fans were like, ‘Is this a repeat?'”

Last month, Trump took to Truth Social after several artists dropped out of the concert and said that he’d step in to replace them.

“I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate ‘Artists,’ and give a major speech,” he wrote.

Fallon then turned his attention to the fair itself, saying, “Yep, the rally kicked off the 16-day Great American State Fair on the National Mall. There’s funnel cake, there’s corn dogs, turkey legs, and lots of other foods found during Trump’s colonoscopy.”

“Yeah, the fair has everything,” he continued before taking a shot at members of Trump’s cabinet. “There’s even a dunk tank with JD Vance and a drunk tank with Kash Patel. There’s something for everyone. There’s also a 110-foot Ferris wheel and an antique carousel. Unfortunately, Marco Rubio isn’t tall enough to ride them.”

He finished by poking fun at the recently renovated, algae-infested Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, joking, “Yep, the state fair will be a lot of fun, although if you win a goldfish, I’m pretty sure I know where they got the water from.”
