He recently postponed a Today appearance scheduled for Dec. 5 due to contracting pink eye, which he referred to on Instagram as a reality of having kids.
Another attendance shake-up "gutted" the actor back in September, when he pulled out of the one-night-only Dawson's Creek reunion charity event due to his developing two different stomach viruses.
Despite the temporary setbacks, Van Der Beek appears to be optimistic. While fundraising for his treatment and to support other families in similar positions through the sale of Varsity Blues jerseys, his wife gave positive insights into his health status.
In the comments section on an Instagram Reel she wrote, "You're a wizard. Bouncing back baby!! 😍😍😍."
