Rumors are swirling that Chris Martin and Sophie Turner are dating after the pair reportedly stepped out together.

According to The Daily Mail, the rumored couple had a "secret date" sometime in late September or early October.

Turner was previously linked to Peregrine Pearson, while Martin previously dated Dakota Johnson.

Rumors of a new Hollywood It couple are swirling, just in time for cuffing season. Fans are wondering if Chris Martin and Sophie Turner are dating after the reportedly newly-single Game of Thrones actress and Coldplay frontman reportedly enjoyed a “secret” night out together in September.

According to The Daily Mail, Turner and Martin went on “a secret date” sometime between late September and early October—and the romantic pairing was a long time coming. The X Men: Apocalypse actress previously revealed she’s a major Coldplay fan after her then-husband Joe Jonas surprised her on her birthday with a video message from Martin. In the 2020 clip, which was shared on Coldplay’s Instagram account, Jonas could be seen coyly telling his then-wife, “I have someone who wants to say happy birthday” before passing her the phone at a restaurant.

A visibly shocked Turner revealed that it was Chris Martin on the other line, and held back tears as he told her, “This is Chris from Coldplay, I wanted to say on behalf of me and the even more handsome members of our band, have the best day and I am sending you all my love and I hope you're having the best time. Thanks for being awesome, bye.” Martin signed off his birthday message by blowing her a kiss, and Turner joked, “I’m not going to cry on camera” as she put her face in her hands following the birthday surprise.

A rep for Turned declined to comment while a rep for Martin did not immediately respond to InStyle’s request.

Up until recently, both Martin and Turner were linked to other people. The “Viva La Vida” singer reportedly broke up with Dakota Johnson in June after nearly eight years together and reports that they had been engaged for “years.” Before that, he famously “consciously uncoupled” from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he shares daughter Apple and son Moses.

Meanwhile, Turner previously had an on-again, off-again relationship with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson since 2023. The pair—who were rumored to be engaged at one point—were first spotted making out in October, a month after Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Turner after four years of marriage. While Turner and her future viscount beau were last spotted packing on the PDA at Glastonbury this summer, sources revealed they split in late September after attending a society wedding together. Per The Daily Mail, Turner went on her date with Martin the very next week.
