Is Sauce Gardner playing today? Latest on Colts CB vs Falcons in Germany

The Indianapolis Colts realized their team wasn't complete without a little sauce – Sauce Gardner, that is.

General manager Chris Ballard is hoping to cook up a contender with the ingredients he had in the kitchen, but decided a quick trip to the store could put them over the top.

The Colts swung a blockbuster trade with the New York Jets to acquire the All-Pro cornerback, sending a pair of first-round picks and Adonai Mitchell out the door. Indianapolis hopes that Gardner will help elevate their defense as they continue what has been a magical season.

Before getting their star into the lineup, however, Gardner had to clear concussion protocol. After getting through that hurdle, he put his passport to good use and hopped on a flight with his new team to Germany.

Now all eyes are on his debut. Here's a look at whether Gardner will suit up for the Colts in Week 10.

Is Sauce Gardner playing today?

Gardner is set to play in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons in Germany.

The cornerback cleared concussion protocol and will suit up for the first time since Week 7. Gardner avoided any setbacks after returning to practice on Nov. 5, paving the way for him to make his Colts debut.

It'll be Gardner's second international contest of the season after he played for the Jets in London during their Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos.

While the All-Pro is now the team's best cornerback, it remains to be seen how he'll be deployed and whether he'll shadow Drake London in Berlin.

Gardner has taken some criticism for his drop in play in recent seasons. The Colts, and their fans, will get a chance to see whether that was a result of the Jets' struggles on defense.
