The Indiana Fever (10-8) will host the Los Angeles Sparks (8-9) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday, June 27 (8 p.m. ET, CBS).

Ahead of the matchup, Indiana lost to Phoenix 111-109 on Wednesday, June 24, and Los Angeles suffered a 125-97 blowout loss to Toronto a day later. The Sparks also gave up a league record 53 points to Tempo guard Marina Mabrey. Both teams need to get back in the win column in Saturday's clash.

If you're here, you might be wondering: Will Caitlin Clark play Saturday? How many minutes will she see against Los Angeles? Not to worry. We've got you covered.

Here's the latest on the WNBA All-Star's injury against the Sparks:

Is Caitlin Clark playing today?

No. Caitlin Clark has been ruled out with a back injury against Los Angeles.

"She's OK. She's gonna be out on Saturday, but she's doing alright," Fever coach Stephanie White said Friday. There's currently no timetable for Clark's return.

"No indication (of how long she'll be out)," White added. "Obviously, it's a good time because we have all week next week. So, we'll take this opportunity just to get her treatment, get her healthy, get her back on the floor and see what happens."

The Fever expect guard Ty Harris to start in Clark's place against Los Angeles. After Saturday's matchup, Indiana does not play again until Sunday, July 5, against Las Vegas (7 p.m. ET, ESPN), giving Clark more than a week of rest.

How did Caitlin Clark get injured?

Clark left a June 24 game against Phoenix at the 5:15 mark in the third quarter with a back injury and did not return. The Fever guard has been dealing with back issues since the 2026 season began.

She missed a May 20 matchup against Portland after she was ruled out late with a back injury. Since that game, Clark's been listed on the injury report as "probable (back)" for every matchup. The Fever were warned by the WNBA for improper injury reporting related to Clark's status on the May 20 injury report.

Clark's latest injury update also comes after the league suspended Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas for a fist to Clark's throat during the June 24 matchup. Midway through the second quarter, Clark went to the floor and lost control of the ball while being defended by the Mercury's Lexi Held.

During a scramble for the ball, Thomas landed on Clark, pushing her fist into Clark’s throat. There was no foul called during the game for the incident. The WNBA later suspended Thomas for one game and upgraded the non-call to a Flagrant-2 foul. Thomas was also fined $1,000.
