According to Downdetector, goodreads is down. The site, which "functions as a social cataloging platform where users can track their reading, review books, see what friends are reading, and discover new books through personalized recommendations," went down Tuesday afternoon.

The biggest problem according to Downdetector was with the app, where about half of the more than 500 error reports came in from, although the website accounts for about 40 percent of the issues. About 3 percent couldn't use the search function.
The problem popped up just after 2 p.m., so it could be quickly fixed.
