Guy Gansert revealed on Instagram on Thursday, Nov. 6, that he is engaged after popping the question in New York City to his girlfriend Johanna Boston

He shared photos of the pair posing together at the top of the Empire State Building with the new engagement ring on her finger

Gansert previously took his romance with Boston public in April

Guy Gansert is engaged!

The former Golden Bachelorette contestant, 66, revealed on Instagram that he proposed to his girlfriend Johanna Boston, seven months after taking their relationship public on Instagram.

He shared the engagement news in an Instagram post on Thursday, Nov. 6, along with a video slideshow of the pair seeing the sights of New York City and visiting several different restaurants and iconic landmarks like the Washington Arch.

Midway through the slideshow, the couple could be seen posing together at the top of New York City’s iconic Empire State Building, with Boston flaunting her new engagement ring. In the black and white snap, the couple wrapped their arms around each other as Boston placed a hand on Gansert’s chest.

The couple even shared a close-up of the rock, which appeared to be an oval-shaped stone set on a pave band. In a picture, the reality star could be seen holding his new fiancée’s hand, which sported the new ring.

They then celebrated the engagement with drinks at the Roxy hotel, as they shared snaps of the two of them in a dark location with a menu. The pair also shared a look at the rest of their trip, which included a show at Broadway’s Moulin Rouge.

“I guess “🎼The the Lord must be in New York City” 🍎💍,” Gansert captioned the post.

Fans quickly congratulated the star on his engagement, including one who wrote, “Congratulations! So excited for the two of you. 🙌.” Another fan added, “This is the best news 🗞️!!!!!!!”

The former ER doctor was the runner-up in Joan Vassos' season on The Golden Bachelorette. Though he did not win her heart, he did find love again, introducing his new fiancée to fans in April by sharing a photo of the two of them under a heart arch at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort & Spa in Mexico.

“I HAVE FOUND MY PERSON ❤️,” Guy declared in a caption to a single photo post on Instagram. He tagged her as Johanna Boston in the photo.

Since then, he has shared numerous photos on Instagram with Boston, showing the two of them on date nights, at the beach and at different concerts. In October, Boston shared a cute photo montage showing the two heading out on the road.

She captioned it, “Forever fall-ing for you @guyggansert 🍁🍂.”
