Dylan Sprouse discussed the results of a recent DNA test he took on his podcast “Wildmen.”
The actor, 34, said he “found out something weird” about his and his twin brother Cole’s genealogy.
“My actual breakdown of history was very different than it is now,” Dylan admitted.
Dylan Sprouse made a shocking admission about his family tree on the latest episode of his “Wildmen” podcast. The actor, 34, revealed that he recently “found out something weird” regarding his and his twin brother Cole’s ancestry.
“When I first took it, my actual breakdown of history was very different than it is now,” Dylan said after completing a DNA test. “I’ve found a lot of family members, weirdly, who I never met, because my dad’s side of the family is pretty fractured. I started to talk to them, compare and contrast.”

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody star explained that they have ancestors on both sides who lived in California during the Gold Rush. “So, the families married in California in the late 1800s, and then they diverged and then they married again with my mom and my dad, like, last generation,” he said.
“Long story short, Cole and I are children of incest,” Dylan joked.

He said that he phoned Cole shortly after making the discovery. “I was like, ‘Dude, I just found out some fucking crazy shit,’” Dylan recalled, explaining that he also found another set of twins on their father’s side.
“I had only ever thought that identical twins or twins in general had come from my mom’s side of the family, which, we have seven sets of twins in four generations,” he said, before laughing and adding: “The reason we have a lot of twins is because it’s the same family.”

Dylan recently expanded his family tree further with the birth of his first child. He and supermodel Barbara Palvin, who married in 2023, welcomed their daughter Sylvie in early September. The couple announced her arrival in an adorable Instagram post, which showed the three of them in matching Los Angeles Dodgers jerseys.
“We took Labor Day literally this year,” Dylan and the Victoria’s Secret Angel wrote.
