The actor and *Real Housewives of Beverly Hills** *star* *recreated the 1998 erotic thriller’s iconic pool scene for a new photo shoot. Hair stylist and makeup artist Pamela Brogardi shared a photo and video footage of the moment, in which Richards submerges herself in a pool and stares at the camera with slicked back, wet hair.

“Sneak peek from today’s shoot 📸,” Brogardi captioned the Instagram post. Richards also shared snippets on her Instagram Stories as she got ready for the photo shoot, during which she wore a black bikini and sheer black cover up.

The comments section was full of fire emojis as fans and fellow celebrities speculated whether Richards was truly going for a *Wild Things* recreation.

Yes, the shoot is very reminiscent of her pool scene in *Wild Things*, which costarred Matt Dillon and Neve Campbell. The movie’s plot revolves around a pair of rival female high school students (Richards and Campbell) and their hunky, slightly dim guidance counselor (Dillon), who is accused of sexual assault. The trio attempt to steal a multimillion-dollar settlement from the mom of Richards’ character—all while crooked cop Ray Duquette (Kevin Bacon) is hot on their trail.

There are some racy scenes, including another pool moment between Richards and Campbell.

“I definitely did not give them a copy,” Richard told *Yahoo Lifestyle Australia* in 2019 of not letting her daughters watch the movie. “I told them, ‘I don’t want you guys watching this’, because one of my daughters brought it up to me and I was shocked.”

She continued, “A couple of friends had told her about it and I just said to her, ‘I would appreciate if you didn’t watch it.’ It’s not age appropriate and it was a movie I did, it was a script I loved, it’s me being creative. I worked with amazing actors and one day if you do see it, you may not agree with my decision but that’s what mom decided to do’.”

Richards added that as her girls get older, friends are filling them in on their mother’s career.

“It’s weird for them, to see their mom in something that’s sexy or different. I think it would be very rude for me if it were my parents,” she admitted to *Yahoo*.

Richards solidified her sex symbol status in Hollywood with appearances in *Starship Troopers* (1997) and *The World Is Not Enough *(1999).

She went on to marry Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares daughters Sam, 22, and Lola, 21. Richards and Sheen divorced in 2006, after which, she adopted daughter Eloise in 2011. Richards went on to marry Aaron Phypers in 2018, though they split in 2025.
