Danica McKellar shared an unexpected story about her birth experience with son Draco.
The 51-year-old Wonder Years star welcomed her only child, who is now 15, in September 2010 with her ex-husband Mike Verta.
She revisited her birthing experience during a Tuesday, March 10 appearance on The BobbyCast. More specifically, she recalled being encouraged to eat her placenta by her doula.
"My doula said, do you want to taste the placenta? I'd just given birth," she recalled, adding that "you're not in your right mind" after going through the birthing process. "And I'm like, sure."

The published author continued, adding, "She gave me a piece of it. Bobby, it was like the best filet mignon that I have ever tasted. But more."
"I was embarrassed about how much I loved it," she admitted. "It was bizarre. I thought, what is this, some sort of weird satanic..."
Host Bobby Bones interrupted, jokingly saying, "Am I a cannibal?"
McKellar shared a realization that she came to after the experience: "We are meant to have that."
Bones commented on McKellar's candid remarks in the caption of a post on Instagram, writing, "I appreciate the openness. The generosity of her stories. And the vulnerability from the whole episode. But especially here."

The former couple announced the birth of Draco in a statement shared with PEOPLE in September 2010.
