Chargers rookie edge rusher Akheem Mesidor said he's good to go for Week 1.
Mesidor has been dealing with some swelling in his leg, which caused him to miss a couple of practices and the second preseason game.
However, the 25-year-old said he expects to play against the Cardinals and that he is 100%.
Mesidor is expected to make his NFL debut next Sunday in front of the Chargers' home fans against the Cardinals. Not only that, but he's expected to play a crucial role in Chris O'Leary's defense.

The 25-year-old will serve as the third edge rusher on the Chargers' depth chart, with the two in front of him, who have made a name for themselves in the league, Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.
Mesidor showed this potential in preseason. Although he only had one pressure in the three games, Mesidor was tied for fifth in pass-rush win rate among 162 edge rushers with 10+ pass-rush reps.
The Chargers selected Mesidor with the 22nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami. The Canadian pass rusher was stellar in his final college season.
Mesidor recorded 63 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, and forced four fumbles in 15 games. Hopefully, he will make the same kind of impact in the league, especially given that he's an older rookie and comes in with a mature pass-rush arsenal.
