Cardi B is candidly opening up about the price of fame. The rapper and entrepreneur admitted that her nonstop hustle keeps her away from the people she loves most, revealing she’d rather be in the Dominican Republic with her kids and grandparents than anywhere else right now.

Cardi B admits her career keeps her from family in the Dominican Republic amid her busiest year yet. She is having one of the biggest years of her career, but that doesn’t mean it’s been easy on her personal life. Cardi got candid in an exclusive sit-down at Create and Cultivate LA, the world’s largest festival for women in business. During the interview, she was asked whether her packed schedule interferes with things outside of work, and she didn’t hold back.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper explained that being Cardi has essentially become a full-time brand, admitting, “I’m just a whole walking business.” She went on to share that the lifestyle takes a real toll on her family time. “Like right now I really wish I was in the Dominican Republic with my kids and my grandparents,” she said. “That’s what I really want to be and where I want to be at.”

Meanwhile, Cardi also touched on a rough patch, describing the past year as “insane” and revealing she’d dealt with a couple of heartbreaks along the way. Despite the setbacks, the star insists she isn’t slowing down. Cardi opened up about her business empire, now reportedly worth around $120 million, including her new haircare line, Grow Good. She shared that seeing fans’ real results from the products has been more emotional for her than hearing praise for her music.
As for growing her family further, Cardi confirmed she does want one or two more kids down the line, just not anytime soon. She also teased that new music is on the way, hinting it’ll reflect everything she’s been through over the past several months.
