The long-awaited movie by Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek finally gets a release date. The war drama film premiered two years ago at a film festival and has now found a distributor to release it in theaters worldwide.
When is the release date for Angelina Jolie’s new movie?
Without Bloodis a movie directed by Angelina Jolie, starring Salma Hayek. The war drama film was first released in 2024 at a screening and has been acquired by Brainstorm Media. It is slated to release in theaters on September 18, 2026.

The movie is based on Alessandro Baricco’s book, and the synopsis follows “the aftermath of an unnamed conflict, exploring universal truths about war, trauma, memory, and healing.” Baricco also wrote the film’s screenplay alongside Jolie.
The movie held a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024. It stars Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir. In an interview, Jolie spoke about their performances. “The emotional intimacy and openness that our cast and crew brought to this film was extraordinary and exciting to be around. I hope that Salma and Demián’s brave performances will inspire the type of conversation that Baricco sought in writing the novel (via Variety).”

Furthermore, Hayek also commented on working with her Eternals co-star as her director, “Having the opportunity to be directed by Angelina Jolie in ‘Without Blood’ was a profoundly enriching experience. Her emotional intelligence and searing sensitivity bring to life a story about how the wounds we carry shape who we become, and the strength it takes to carry on.”
As stated above, Brainstorm Media has taken on the distribution of Without Blood. In response, the actress also commented, “I am so thrilled that Brainstorm is bringing this visually stunning tale of revenge, guilt, and the long road back to our own humanity to U.S. audiences in theaters.”
Jolie, Lorenzo Mieli, Lorenzo De Maio, and Simone Gattoni have produced the movie. Without Blood also stars Juan Minujín, Andrés Delgado, Jorge Antonio Guerrero, Patricio José, and Nika Perrone.
