Amelia Dimoldenberg is headed to the big screen!

The 32-year-old creator of Chicken Shop Date — the viral YouTube series where she flirtatiously interviews celebrity guests at various chicken shops — is developing a romantic comedy with Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures, Variety reported.

The outlet reported that Dimoldenberg is set to star as a “by-the-book journalist whose carefully planned life unravels when a routine celebrity interview unexpectedly turns into a romance that makes her question everything she believes about love.”

After launching Chicken Shop Date as a magazine column for a local youth publication in 2014, the internet series has exploded in popularity — welcoming A-list stars across the entertainment industry, including the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Bella Hadid and Sabrina Carpenter.

Her interview with Andrew Garfield particularly went viral after the two engaged in years of flirty banter on the red carpet. After meeting at GQ's Men of the Awards in November 2022, the two reunited on the highly anticipated Chicken Shop Date in October 2024, a video that notched over 12 million views.

At the time, Dimoldenberg and Garfield sparked dating rumors for their onscreen chemistry; however, she later shut down speculation during an interview with The New Yorker.

“I don’t think it’s going to happen," she told the publication. "Otherwise, I would be going out with him already, wouldn’t I?"

Dimoldenberg — who has over 10 million followers across her Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts — has also become a regular fixture of high-profile red carpets and award shows, serving as a correspondent at the Academy Awards over the last two years (with plans to return again in March).

She also recently launched a new YouTube series in collaboration with Formula 1, Passenger Princess, bringing her comedic timing to chats with professional racers.
