Tommy Maximoff is all grown up in VisionQuest. Marvel’s latest TV series tells a generational story between Tommy, his father Vision (Paul Bettany), and Ultron (James Spader). A younger version of Tommy appears in 2021’s WandaVision, which introduces the speedster son of Vision and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). Now that 26-year-old Ruaridh Mollica is stepping into the aged-up role, many fans are wondering about Tommy’s love life.

In the Marvel comics, the character is openly bisexual, and he had a long-running relationship with fellow superhero Prodigy. While fans have to wait and see if Marvel’s new show makes time for romance or features LGBTQ+ representation, what’s the latest on the love life of the actor who plays Tommy? Who is Ruaridh Mollica’s partner?

Mollica isn’t currently known to be dating anyone and hasn’t posted about a romantic partner on his social media.

He has spoken numerous times about his sexuality. Ahead of VisionQuest‘s premiere, the actor told SFX Magazine, “I don’t know if [Tommy’s bisexuality] is explicitly referenced. But I feel like myself as a bisexual actor embodying Tommy, hopefully that comes through in just personality and self and is something that can be explored in the future.”

Mollica identifies as queer, per an Esquire interview. He told the outlet that he realized his sexuality when he moved to London to film the 2024 feature Sebastian, in which he played a sex worker. “I think when you know who you are, you can allow your clothes to reflect your personality, and you’re more unafraid to dress in line with how you actually feel,” Mollica said.

The actor played another LGBTQ+ role for his late 2025 West End debut, the romantic play Clarkston. Joe Locke acted as Mollica’s on-stage love interest in the production. If you watched Agatha All Along, you may remember that Locke portrays Billy Maximoff, or Wiccan, in the MCU. So, Mollica and Locke will eventually play a brotherly dynamic after playing a romantic one.

While they were costarring in the play, Mollica and Locke did a joint interview with I-D in October 2025. They shared some insight into their dating lives: “I think I’m great on dates!” Mollica said. “I just like to have fun. I feel like I don’t change very much. I’m just the same as I always am except I give more compliments!”

He also shared that he “always offer[s]” to get the bill on dates. “Growing up, even at the start of our careers, I wasn’t able to get the dinners when I was out with other people who were more ahead in their career,” he said. “So it’s nice to do that back!”
